hydraulic dredging on a lake
Location: Belmar, NJ
Project Completion Date: December 2017
Client: New Jersey Department of Transportation

The scope of work included dredging and dewatering of 102,000 cubic yards of sediment. Work was performed dredging with a 10 inch swinging ladder dredge pumping through over 6,000 feet of pipeline. Sediment dewatering was accomplished by using geosynthetic tubes, and mechanical dewatering equipment (dewatering screens, hydrocyclones, clarifiers and belt filter presses). The dewatered material was utilized for landfill cover while a portion of the sand was beneficially reused to restore a beach.
