In the first phase of the contract, MDVP utilized an 8 inch swinging ladder hydraulic dredge to remove approximately 6,500 cubic yards of sediment and organics for the Lower Crum Creek Reservoir in Media, PA. Sediment was pumped through approximately 2,500 feet of 8 inch pipe to the mechanical dewatering processing pad. Dewatering was accomplished utilizing a Triflo sediment separation system, a mix tank and four belt filter presses. Sediment was separated from the organics, loaded into triaxle trucks and utilized as clean landfill cover.
